What are CAPTCHAs and Why Would I Want to Use Them?

What: Your account gives users the ability to maintain better security of their account by enabling CAPTCHAs on Application Forms. Captcha stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart". They are an additional measure of security for online web forms that help ensure that the user submitting a form is actually a person, and not some 'bot' or phishing attempt by an automated system.

Why: As long as there is an internet, there will be people out there engaged in less-than-honorable spamming activities. Captcha is an easy way to add an additional level of security to your account to prevent bot-generated spam cluttering up your applicant list.

How To Enable The "Captcha On" Feature

NOTE: Only users designated as Admin access level or Account Owner have the ability to make changes to your account settings. Need to make changes to your account settings but don't have the right permissions? Contact your company's Account Owner or another Admin level user to request a change to your access level. Not sure who your Account Owner is? Create a support ticket and we'll find out for you.


1. Click on Account Details from the drop down menu next to Your Account at the top right side of the page.


2. Scroll down to the Customize & Design section and click on the Applications button.

3.  Scroll down the page and you'll notice that the Captcha On box is turned to OFF. Toggle the box to ON to enable it.     


That's all you have to do!  Once you have enabled the Captcha On feature, applicants will be presented with a field at the bottom of their application form where they will need to check the "I'm not a robot" box before clicking Apply Now to submit their application.  


If you decide you want to disable the Captcha On feature, you may do so at any time by following the same instructions as above, but toggling the box to off to disable the Captcha On field and then saving your changes.
